Who we are
D1Ops is the operations practice of Division1 Capital LLC. This policy covers d1ops.com, the client portal at portal.d1ops.com, and the email we send. Questions about it go to Katie Kelly at katie@d1ops.com.
What you give us, and where
- Contact form. Your name, email, company, and message. It is emailed to Katie so she can reply.
- Readiness check. Your first name, email, your answers to the nine questions, your field team size, and your revenue band. If you arrived from a partner link or QR code, we record which one. We store this, email you your scorecard, and send a short series of follow-up notes.
- Cash calculator. Your email and the four figures you set on the sliders. We store this and email you the breakdown.
- Fit call questionnaire. Your name, company, email, trade, revenue band, headcount, how invoicing runs, your AR past 60 days, the software you use, and your written answers about what is breaking. We store this and Katie reads it before your call.
- Booking a time. The calendar on our booking page is provided by Cal.com. When you pick a time, they collect your name, email, and anything you add in the notes, and their privacy policy covers that step.
- Client portal. For clients under an engagement: account details, workspace membership, the documents we exchange, and a record of activity such as logins and document views.
- Text messages. If you give a mobile number and opt in, we keep the number and the record of that consent. See our SMS terms.
What we collect automatically
- Page analytics. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure loading speed. These are aggregate and cookieless. They do not build a profile of you or follow you to other sites.
- Server logs. Ordinary web server records, including your IP address, browser, and the page you requested, kept briefly for security and troubleshooting.
- Spam control. Your IP address is checked in memory to limit how many times a form can be submitted from one place. It is not stored alongside your answers.
- Campaign tags. If you arrive from a link we published, the link carries tags naming the source and campaign. We store those with your submission so we know which campaign produced it.
- On your own device. While you fill in the fit call questionnaire, your answers are held in your browser so a refresh does not lose them. That copy stays on your device and clears when you close the tab.
Cookies
- Essential. A signed-in portal session, and a cookie that remembers you have unlocked a private document link. Those pages cannot work without them.
- Analytics. We set none. The analytics we use are cookieless.
- The embedded calendar. Our booking page embeds Cal.com, which may set its own cookies when the calendar loads.
- Advertising. None. We do not run advertising or tracking pixels on this site.
Advertising and measurement
We do not run advertising pixels on this site today. If you reach us from an ad, the platform that showed you the ad knows you clicked it, and we see the campaign tags on the link, but we are not sending your browsing back to any ad network. If that changes, this section changes with it and the date at the top of this page moves.
What we use it for
- Answering you and preparing for a call.
- Sending what you asked for: a scorecard, a breakdown, a confirmation, a calendar invite.
- Sending a short series of follow-up notes after the readiness check. Every one of them has a one-click unsubscribe.
- Delivering the work for clients under an engagement.
- Keeping the site working and keeping spam out.
- Understanding what owners struggle with, so we write about the right things. Anything we publish leaves out your name, your company, and anything that would identify you.
- Meeting our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of companies to run the business. They only get what they need to do their part, and they are not allowed to use it for anything else:
- Supabase, for the database and document storage.
- Vercel, for hosting and site analytics.
- Resend, for sending email.
- Cal.com, for the booking calendar.
We also share information with our professional advisers, or with authorities when the law requires it. Otherwise, nobody.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not trade it. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Email and text messages
- Every follow-up email has an unsubscribe link. One click stops them, and you do not have to reply to anyone.
- Confirmations and replies to something you asked for are not marketing and do not carry an unsubscribe link.
- For texts, reply STOP to stop and HELP for help. We do not sell or share SMS opt-in data, phone numbers, or consent records with anyone for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
- Form submissions and lead records: 24 months after your last contact with us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Fit call questionnaires: 24 months.
- Client records: for the length of the engagement, and then as long as our accounting and professional obligations require, which is generally seven years.
- Server logs: about 30 days.
Security
Our database enforces row-level security, and the tables holding form submissions can only be read with a server-side key that is never sent to your browser. Traffic to the site is encrypted. Private document links use unguessable tokens and can be locked behind a passcode. No system is perfect, and we are not going to claim ours is.
Your choices and rights
- Ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email katie@d1ops.com and we will answer within 30 days.
- Unsubscribe from email at any time. STOP for texts.
- Several states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia, give residents specific rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising or profiling. Rather than sorting requests by address, we honor them from everyone.
- We will not treat you differently for asking, and you do not need an account or a lawyer to ask.
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union: we are a United States business. We process the information described here to answer you and to run our business, or with your consent where that is required, and we will delete it on request.
Children
This site is for business owners. It is not for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters, we will say so on the site rather than hoping you re-read the page.
